Soooo much fun to be had with our Silicone Cabochons Mold!
Although our flat-bottomed molds are better suited for making photo jewelry, you can also make shiny half-sphere resin photo domes using our Silicone Cabochons Mold.
I used our online Photo Cropper to shrink my pics to fit, so that's the easiest option. If you'd rather use Microsoft Word or GoogleDocs to resize your images follow the FREE guide below.
You can collage any materials you'd like, some can be placed in the same layer of resin, for others you'll want to let the first layer set up before pouring the next layer and embedding your items. This will allow you to control the location and depth of your elements.
For this beauty I poured a clear layer, let that set, then poured another thin clear layer and inserted the photo. I let that set up and added a final layer of resin with fine silver glitter mixed in.
These initials were printed, but you can also find stickers to embed:
In this one, I cut out our kitty cat's head and layered that with her name and type printed on Clear Photo Film. Then, I backed this cab with a thin layer of white resin made with our White Resin Colorant.
