Travel Memory Magnets

Here’s a great idea for transforming memories of your favorite trips into awesome reminders that can live around you, not just on your computer!

MEMORY MAGNETS: I’ve used the Doming Technique and added some jump rings to connect our awesome pix to some simple graphics created in MicroSoft Word or Photoshop.  You can even cut pieces from postcards, brochures, maps….

TRAVEL COLLAGE: And here I use the Casting Technique to layer bits and pieces to create this wonderful collage.  Bottom layer is actually cut from a map and becomes a little translucent when you put it in the resin.  Second layer is a stamp, 3rd layer is a metal charm (I cut off the ring at the top).  Be sure to allow at least 4-5 hours between layers, more if your item is heavy.

Scrappy Little Windows

Want to make your creations even more unique?  Here's a great crossover from scrapbooking, which adds coordinating elements and a name, date, or saying of your choice.  Basic Photoshop tutorial included, so if you haven't given it a try, here's a great way to dip your toes in the water of photo editing!

Beautiful Bubble Beads

This necklace is pretty easy to make - no computer or printer needed!  You can use any bits of color you can find;  a few glass beads, paper, or scrap leftover from another project.  Use your Medium Circle and Small Circle Molds to cast these "bubble beads".      I absolutely love the way color and texture bounces and reflects up the edges of each Little Window, creating a frame of color.

Arrange them on your table any way you like, then drill holes where they touch.  You'll link them together with thin colored wire in colors that coordinate with the beads, or with large jump rings.  I didn't have a chain to go with mine, so I quickly finger-crocheted the cord to fashion this design.
Here’s the same piece backlit, so you can see it would be great for suncatchers, earrings, lampshades, whatever!

Photo-Flowers

Here's another great idea to inspire you, these are Little Windows photo-flowers.  They make beautiful gifts - be it one or a bunch!  Just cast some Medium Circle-sized pieces, then glue them into the center of silk flowers.

OR, add a pin-back to the flower top so she can wear it, or pin it to her hat.

OR, add a magnet to the back of your LW, or to the back of the flower, for a practical gift with flair.  The flower is also its own gift-wrap!
