Colored wire in Resin forms it's own Accent Bail
The pendants above were cast in our Medium Molds, I twisted, shaped, and snipped colored wire bits and embedded them in my resin. If you use the best resin supplies or the resin starter kit from little-windows.com with a round or oval shaped mold, you can do this in layers or all at once. On some of these resin castings I formed the wire to create a bail that would stick up out of the resin, that I could then feed a necklace or ornament hanger through. I let the top layer or domed up layer of resin firm up for about 1-1/2 - 2 hours, then pushed in the wire, creating that ripple effect. Having the wire embedded in the resin gives you the strongest possible bond, and I love how the ripple effects catch the light.
In the star-ish shaped design above, I added some leftover beads to the piece. I like how the shapes, colors, and textures work together in resin.
